KINGS REGIMENT ASSOCIATION LIVERPOOL BRANCH

Served in the King's Regiment and Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and want to meet old friends and comrades.

Who can join?

The Branch is open to any serving or former member of the King's Regiment, the Manchester or the King's Regiment (Liverpool) Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and its predecessor regiments. This includes TA and volunteer battalions. There are branches in Manchester, Knowsley, Preston and Ashton under Lyne. The new Association has branches throughout the North West.

The Branch forms part of the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment Association and as such exists to foster the esprit de corps, comradeship and welfare of the new Regiment.

Freedom of City Parade.  Branch forms part of No 4 Guard

The Branch organises a variety of events and functions throughout the year and is always happy to take on new ideas to add to the programme.

Comment: I regret having to record the death of my brother, 2nd Lieutenant Gareth E Roberts, who served in the 5th Bn TA in the 1950s.
 
Lt Col Mike Atkinson TD, a dedicated King's Regiment volunteer officer, died in the Royal Hospital Liverpool on 2 June 2009.

I hope you can help me.  My father served in the kings as a cook from 03/03/1947 to 23/11/1957.  We know he served in Germany after the war and in Palestine later on.  His name is William Knox.service no 19041362 rank private date of birth 18/04/1929.  If there is any photo's of this period please let me know I hope you will be able to help
