Who can join? The Branch is open to any serving or former member of the King's Regiment, the Manchester or the King's Regiment (Liverpool) Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and its predecessor regiments. This includes TA and volunteer battalions. There are branches in Manchester, Knowsley, Preston and Ashton under Lyne. The new Association has branches throughout the North West. The Branch forms part of the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment Association and as such exists to foster the esprit de corps, comradeship and welfare of the new Regiment. Freedom of City Parade. Branch forms part of No 4 Guard The Branch organises a variety of events and functions throughout the year and is always happy to take on new ideas to add to the programme. Lt Col Mike Atkinson TD, a dedicated King's Regiment volunteer officer, died in the Royal Hospital Liverpool on 2 June 2009.
